Voting Question: Caribbean Sea Side or Pacific Sea Side of Costa Rica?

Me and my boyfriend are planning a trip to Costa Rica with another couple and we are a little confused as to what part of CR to visit! We are in our 20's and are heading there for a week in July. Our preference is somewhere with a nice beach (no black sand) and some activities to do in the city. Even some nightlife or at least a somewhat busy place would be a bonus. Can anyone help us with this decision?

Resolved Question: Movies to watch during trip?

I'm going on a trip to Washington D.C. and my school is taking a coach/tour bus there. Since there are usually outlets in coach buses, I decided to download some movies to watch. The bus ride there is about 7 hours long.
